Our Story & Ti’Rya’s Legacy
The Parish Family Foundation was born out of the deepest loss our household has ever faced—the passing of our third child, Ti’Rya, who would be turning four years old this year. The depth of her absence instantly shattered our normal home dynamics. Overnight, even the simplest daily tasks felt impossible to carry. Yet, we were faced with the harsh reality that the world around us did not pause—the bills still came, our other children still needed parenting, and everyday responsibilities continued to demand our attention while our hearts were completely broken.
During those incredibly heavy days, we were blessed to have a strong family support system surrounding us. Their love,care, and presence helped pull us out of a place that had become very dark. Through that experience, a profound truth became clear to us: so many families will share this exact same devastating pain, but they do not have the strong support system we were blessed with to help carry them through. That realization is precisely why this foundation was born.
Healing Through Action & Service
Grief changes everything, but we chose not to let heartbreak have the final word. Transforming our grief into active purpose became our personal path toward healing. By standing beside other families facing unimaginable hardship, we keep Ti’Rya’s spirit alive in every life we touch, every meal we provide, and every hand we extend.
